The neurons boil while we sleep

They use complex language and organize themselves as the Internet

Neurons boil while we sleep, use complex language and organize themselves like the Internet: without hierarchies or pre-established routes, without fixed pairs, and with a balanced distribution of tasks.

Neurons boil while we sleep and process information in the same way as the Internet does.

When we send an email, even to our neighbor in front, the message travels along a path that can cross continents and use numerous different servers in its path. All in a matter of seconds.

And if we send a second message to the same recipient, the route of the message will be completely different: the route depends on the network traffic at all times.

The same thing happens in the brain: even when the information is the same, the routes it takes along the brain are not fixed and the nodes constantly change.

It has been discovered by researchers from the National Institute of Health and Medical Research of France (INSERM), who publish their results in the journal Science Advances.

Consolidating memories

It was already known that neurons are exchanging information permanently, even while we sleep, a moment that harnesses the brain to consolidate memory.
