Organic soy milk; know its benefits

Soy is an annual crop plant that has an erect, hairy stem with trimer leaves. The flowers, white or violet appear on the armpits. The fruit is a pod that encloses the seeds, which are those that have medicinal and food use. In addition, soy is one of the most nutritious legumes. It produces more usable protein per hectare than any other type of crop and its scientific name is Glycine max.

Soy milk is a beverage made from soybeans. It is obtained by soaking, grinding, and filtering the soy.

A little bit about the history of soy

Emperor Shen-Nung, second of the mythical Chinese emperors, declared soy as one of the five sacred crops. Wild soybean grew thousands of years ago in East Asia and from there it spread to Korea and the Southeast of the continent. The Buddhist missionaries sent it to Japan, in the form of tofu, in the 8th century AD. Possibly in the 16th century, European travelers and missionaries introduced it to Europe and later to Latin America.

What is soy made of?

The grain has 20% oil and 40% protein. It is also rich in calcium, phosphorus, and iron, and provides vitamins A, B, and C. It contains no cholesterol and practically no saturated fats.
